Nintendo of Japan has released preliminary details of the GameCube Pokemon game it has in the works at The Pokemon Company HQ. However, more questions as to the content of the game have been raised than answered.
Nintendo Japan has stated that the game will be cheap to buy, around £25, and that players will need a GBA console, a link cable and a copy of either Pokemon Ruby or Pokemon Sapphire.
What Nintendo has failed to explain, is well, what the game actually is. Rumour is strengthening by the day that GameCube Pokemon will be a Pokemon Stadium update, seeing players’ beasties recreated in loving high-end 3D, which would be nice, but hardly revolutionary.
We’ll continue to badger the nice folks at Nintendo and as soon as they break, we’ll let you know straight away. GameCube Pokemon (the game hasn’t been officially titled as yet) is due out in Japan this summer, with a European version expected in 12 months or so.
