Nintendo of America, after a constant string of denials, has cut the price of the GameCube and a bunch of software and peripherals by way of a retail rebate form.
The form, being sent to retailers as you read this, offers anyone buying a new GameCube a $25 rebate, plus $5 back on any of the mentioned games, which include Super Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime and Resident Evil, and $5 return on Wave Bird purchases.
Nintendo has also cut the price of the GameCube and software across Australia recently, all the time avoiding bringing too much international publicity to the fact.
After David Gosen hinting that both Sony and Microsoft were showing slight signs of panic, does Nintendo Europe find itself unable to act similarly, or is there, as Gosen stated, no need for a cut?
