Massive videogame heist hits Ireland

£640,000 worth goes AWOL.

Police in Ireland are desperately trying to track down a gang of thieves that made off with €1,000,000 worth of videogame hardware and software in a raid in Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow over the weekend.

According to reports, GameCube and PlayStation 2 hardware was lifted, as well as a huge amount of software, including the new FIFA games, Lord of the Rings and James Bond Nightfire.

We’ll let you know how this impacts on Christmas sales, and if the police manage to track down the villains.
