Nintendo Europe has finally put dates (well, almost) to some of its most anticipated GameCube games for 2003. Nintendo Europe famously treads on eggshells almost all the time for fear of upsetting its Japanese head office, meaning that the firm here seems scared of mentioning anything that isn’t carved in stone and hand-delivered from Japan.
It seems that Nintendo of Japan has finally given the all-clear to stamp the official Nintendo seal of approval on a fair chunk of the release schedule:
March 2003
Metroid Prime
Resident Evil 0
Quarter 1 2003
Phantasy Star Online
Super Monkey Ball 2
Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon
Quarter 2 2003
The Legend of Zelda: Winds of Takuto
1080 Avalanche
Wario World
The Matrix
Quarter 4
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Although it looks like Q3 will be a little on the quiet side, it’s good to see Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles finally confirmed.
Exactly why Super Monkey Ball 2 and Wario World are so far away, given that both games are complete, is a complete mystery.
