Capcom's Lucky GameCube 5 Revealed

And Resident Evil 4. Told ya so.

Resident Evil - No introduction needed. The game stars Leon S Kennedy from Resident Evil 2 and takes place from within the Umbrella corporation, possibly suggesting that this could be the series finale, or at least the episode before it. Hiroshi Shibata, producer of Res Evil: Nemesis will be steering the game's creative direction.

The other four games are:

Killer 7 - A cel-shaded, stylised adventure that looks like a cross between XIII and Metal Gear -starring an old man in a wheelchair. Thankfully this doesn't look it'll be the kind of gratuitous 'let's keep the disabled community happy' entertainment you see occasionally on Channel Four (UK TV for all you overseas folk).

Harran Smith, the wheelchair-bound man is a skilled assassin with seven different identities. How the hell a disabled man can change his clothes with enough speed to be an efficient assassin is beyond our comprehension, but since he's described as a 'God Killer', we won't argue. The gameplay revolves around switching identities as a way of survival and is the first title to be directed by new director, Gouichi Souda.

Product Number 03 (yes, that's the actual name) - Shinji Mikami, producer of the original Resident Evil is working on this one. It's an action shoot 'em up set in the future, which stars lethal and sultry female soldier Vanessa Z Schneider. Also a tale of revenge, it pits the skilled lady against the band of robots who killed her parents. Gameplay details are currently thin on the ground.

Dead Phoenix -. Hiroki Kato, the genius behind Steel Battalions, will be directing this project. It's described thus far as a game where you fly through mystical and incredible environments, whilst destroying monsters. Sounds like Panzer Dragoon Orta to us. Kato San also stated that Capcom R&D 4 would be working on the project, due to their reputation for producing stunning visuals.

Viewtiful Joe - This is the game that we assume was referred to as 'Project Devil' by Devil May Cry's producer Hideki Kamiya some time ago. It stars a red jump-suit-clad superhero named Joe. Kamiya describes the game as a 'beautiful side-scrolling action game, where you have to defeat the opponent, beautifully'. When asked to explain what he meant, this was his answer:

"Let me give you a brief explanation of this game so you get a better feel for it. For example, if you activate the 'slow' feature to bash the heck out of the enemy, the enemy will go flying all the way across the screen. Then if you really want to get cooking, then activate the 'Zoom in' feature and what do you know, a simple jab will turn into a ravaging lethal blow."

Okay. Now we're excited.
