Squaresoft Europe, a company famed for its apathy in bringing new games to market, has announced that Kingdom Hearts, the epic hack and slash RPG featuring Disney Characters, has been brought forward by one week.
Originally slated for release on November 22, the game will now hit the shelves seven days sooner, delighting the ill-served fanbase Square has in Europe.
In other news, Square is still refusing to budge on making a commitment to release Final Fantasy XI, the MMORPG played between PlayStation 2 and PC, into Europe. It is now thought likely that a revamped version of Final Fantasy X will be released as a filler, with rumour pointing towards a 60Hz version of the International release making its way to our shores. Final Fantasy X came in for heavy criticism when it was released in Europe, with some commentators calling it “…the laziest AAA PAL release seen on a next-gen console.”
We’ll keep you updated on all things Euro-Square as they break.
