World exclusive: Sega go self-publishing in Europe
We can exclusively reveal today that Sega is poised to begin publishing its own software throughout Europe, following questionable relationships with several third parties in the region.

Operating out of London, with satellite offices in France and Germany, Sega will reclaim publishing rights to all of its GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox and Game Boy Advance titles. It is believed that the firm will begin operating as early as January of next year.

There is currently a concerted headhunting operation in place, with Sega looking to staff-up well before it launches a fully revamped Sega Europe.

Currently, Infogrames publish all of Sega’s Xbox, Game Boy Advance and GameCube titles with Sony Computer Entertainment looking after all PlayStation 2 games.

It is understood that Infogrames has products in place for Sega until quarter 2 of next year, so it will be interesting to see how this pans out.

We’ll keep you posted, as always.
