The American Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has served Sega America with a writ, following complaints from former staff members alleging racial discrimination.
According to reports, the complaint contains details of twelve games testers who were reportedly fired directly as a result of Sega allegedly preferring Filipino testers. Sega has vigorously denied the claims. Naturally, the claimants are seeking damages for lost wages.
The firm’s recruitment partner stated, “Sega of America is an equal opportunity employer retaining and supporting a diverse employee population and will vigorously defend itself against the complaints made by the EEOC. It is Sega's policy not to comment on its ongoing litigation.”
We will, of course, bring you the outcome of the case.
