The latest hardware sales from Japan have been released and, as ever, they make interesting reading.
Sony continues to dominate in Japan, as it does throughout the world, notching up 44,768 sales between September 9 to the 15. This figure remains almost unchanged from the previous week.
Nintendo’s home offering, the GameCube sees another leap, powered by the swell of anticipation for its upcoming titles and the buoyancy afforded to by Mario, shifting 19,273 units, up on the previous week’s showing of 13,362. The GBA continues to sell like crazy, notching up another 30,000 or so sales.
The Xbox almost doubled its week-on-week sales in the period, selling 4,002 machines.
