New publisher created by Sega and D3
A new company called 3D Ages Inc has been co-founded by Sega and D3 over in Japan that will specialise in publishing Sega’s impressive back-catalogue of games.

Headed by former Sega executive Satoshi Kayama, the first announcement made by company states that it intends to release a total of 15 games in 2003. The best news for us however is that one of the main focuses of 3D Ages will be to bring games to the European and American market that have never before been released in the regions.

It was also revealed that Sega has the casting vote in any operational decisions made by the firm, holding as it does 51% of 3D Ages stock.

We can reveal that all games from Sega’s back catalogue will be considered for publication, great news for Europe and America. Perhaps we’ll see Magical Flying Hat: Turbo Adventure for Game Boy Advance. 3D Ages will also have access to Sega’s staggering array of arcade titles.

Yay!

We’ll bring you more on all this as we get it.
