Capcom 3D fighter: First screenshots emerge

Is this Capcom’s mainstream beat-em-up?

Capcom of Japan has released the first screenshots from its as yet unnamed 3D fighter outing, known by the tentative name of Capcom All-Stars.

As you can see, the game looks a lot more ‘grown up’ than Capcom’s usual beat-em-up efforts, and would seem to have taken at least partial inspiration from Yu Suzuki’s latest offering, Virtua Fighter 4.

As of this point, the platform for which the game will be made has not been disclosed, though it’s likely that either Sega’s Naomi 2 and Namco’s System 246 coin-op systems will house it.

The screenshots also detail what is likely to be Hagar’s stage, a subway scene from Final Fight, now gloriously recreated in 3D.

Expect to see more on this title at this year’s AOU Arcade Expo which takes place in Tokyo on September 19.
