General public to appear in next Metal Gear Solid
A chance to appear in Kojima's masterpiece
Like its predecessor Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, the forthcoming, multi-platform update MGS2: Substance will offer the general public the chance to make a small appearance in the game.
Throughout the month of September, a promotional campaign on Konami's Japanese website will allow gamers to enter their details, with the lucky winners having their names stamped on the terrorists' dog tags.
70,000 Solid Snake fans applied the last time Konami offered this prestigious honour. Of those applicants, 450 were successful and went on to appear in Sons of Liberty. It has not yet been announced how many there will be this time.
