Having sifted through Super Mario Sunshine for the past few days, we can reveal that there are 130 levels, or shines. The shines are equivalent to the stars as seen in Super Mario 64.
This will no doubt come as welcome news to our legions of Nintendo fans as Mr Miyamoto himself had hinted that the game is designed for added replay value, a la Pikmin and Luigi’s Mansion. SMS is, officially, a much bigger game. Hooray!
Also, despite prolonged campaigning by the Internet Lies Brigade, we can confirm that Waluigi is not included in Super Mario Sunshine.
As to what other secrets are included and how the main story unfolds, we are not yet sure. The good news is that we be sitting down with an English language version of the game with Nintendo Europe on Thursday of this week and should be able to shed more light on the whole thing then.
