Infogrames has announced that Driver 3 will be released across all valid platforms. This means that as well as PlayStation 2 disciples, adopters of Xbox, PC and GameCube will also get to sample Reflections’ mission-based driving delights.
“Gamers love the Driver series and have made it one of the best selling games of all time -- Driver 2 continues to top the sales charts on the original PlayStation," said Jean-Philippe Agati, senior vice president at Infogrames Los Angeles. "Reflections is already working on bringing all the excitement associated with the Driver franchise to the next generation consoles."
As to whether all versions will be a port of the original PlayStation 2 code remains to be seen, but hopefully Infogrames will see the value in building at least the Xbox and GameCube games from the ground up.
A Game Boy Advance spin-off is also likely.
