Tecmo of Japan has finally confirmed its intentions to release Dead or Alive 4, the latest in the series of popular 3D fighting games.
The long-standing Japanese firm stated that the game has gone into development under the Team Ninja umbrella and is pencilled in for a late 2003 release.
Interestingly, the system upon which the game will be hosted remains undisclosed. DOA3 sold comparatively well in Japan, being as it is the best-selling game released for Xbox in the region.
Whether Microsoft will again buy the game outright remains to be seen.
