Cryo Interactive has announced that it will be folding its business with immediate effect, following the firm’s shares being suspended on the French stock exchange.
The announcement comes after Cryo failed to negotiate a further round of funding from its initial investors.
No information on what will become of the firms assets is yet available. MegaRace 3, Atlantis 3 and The Shadow of Zorro all received favourable press and it’s likely that at least some of these titles will be snapped up by another publisher.
Yet again, in the face of all the publicity telling us how massively profitable the games industry is, another firm closes its doors, with all the related redundancies and heartache. Something is not quite right.
