Square buys Final Fantasy Tactics developer

SquareSoft of Japan has announced that it has fully acquired development house Quest, the people behind Tactics Ogre and, more importantly, Final Fantasy Tactics.

This move, widely anticipated for some time, further centralises Square’s assets and development interests.

Final Fantasy Tactics is one of Square’s highest profile titles, as it is in development for both Nintendo’s Game Boy Advance and GameCube systems.
