Global price war forces sales adjustment.

Nintendo in forecast re-jig
Nintendo of Japan has adjusted its sales forecast for the coming year, reducing its projected GameCube sales to 12 million.

The unspecified reduction size comes as news breaks that the firm now expects to shift only 19 million combined units of GameCube and Game Boy Advance, a figure reduced from almost 22 million units, as announced in its last financial report.

As Nintendo reasoned that the price war is the reason for this adjustment, the assumption must be that these losses will be in the home console sector, meaning that before today, Nintendo was hoping to ship somewhere in the region of 15 million GameCubes.

Despite this, Nintendo’s share price went up by 2.49% overnight.
