400,000 GameCubes snaffled up by Europe
Nintendo of Europe has announced that it shifted 400,000 GameCube units across Europe in the first week of the machine going on sale.

“This has been a phenomenal week for Nintendo and we are delighted at the initial reaction to GameCube,” said David Gosen, managing director of sales and marketing, Nintendo of Europe. “We have always said that success will be determined by great games, and after launch week, over 400,000 gamers are being thrilled by the GameCube experience. With games such as Super Smash Bros. Melee and Pikmin launching in the next four weeks, GameCube sales will just keep growing.”
