MindFire Entertainment has released a ton of details concerning the upcoming House of the Dead movie, based on Sega’s smash-hit arcade series.
MindFire has altered the basic formula from the game completely, the film carrying the following prologue: ‘A band of college students go to a rave on a mysterious island and get more than they bargained for when they find themselves stalked by killer zombies and terrifying creatures intent on feasting on the flesh of the living.’ Yup, we’ll reserve judgement too!
Shot in the remotest regions of Canada, the film looks to be shaping up well, even if it does seem to be pandering to a teen horror-by-numbers mindset. Directed by Uwe Boll, director of Angels Don’t Sleep Here and Homeroom, the film will star Clint Howard from Apollo 13, Jurgen Prochnow from Air Force One and Enuka Okuma of Double Jeopardy fame.
Enjoy.
