Several news agencies are reporting that all three home console manufacturers are poised to announce hardware price-cuts at this year’s E3.
Rumour has it that both Microsoft and Sony will slash the price tags of their respective Xbox and PlayStation consoles to $199, from the $299 both machines command at present. Nintendo is then expected to snip the GameCube price to $149, making it the cheapest next-gen purchase in all gaming regions.
Sony is also rumoured to be planning to cut the PSOne price to $79, along with a cut in the price of the LCD screen and power pack set.
Full coverage from E3 is assured.
