The Assassin's Creed movie is set for another rewrite, it would seem. According to Deadline, Adam Cooper and Bill Collage are the next writers to have a pop at the screenplay.

New Regency is working with Ubisoft to develop the film. 12 Years a Slave and X-Men star Michael Fassbender is attached as the lead, though it remains unconfirmed as to whether that will mean he plays Desmond Miles or whether the Animus narrative mechanism will be ditched in favour of a more straight historical approach.
