Despite being a single-player only game, it appears that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is crashing every time a user attempts to use it offline.
Discussions in the Steam forum indicate that even if an Internet connection momentarily drops while playing the game, it dies.
With no mention in the game's description of DRM, however, it's suspected that the problem is related to an issue with Steam's API.
Konami has pledged to deal with the issue. "We are aware of the offline play issue for Metal Gear Rising for Steam and are working on a fix. Please stay tuned for more updates," a Konami rep said on Twitter, according to CVG.
