Final Fantasy X to come with bonus DVD!
Interviews with voice actors!! What more could you want?
Square Europe has released new details on the long-awaited European release of Final Fantasy X. By way of an apology for the game’s belated European release, it will hit the shelves with a bonus DVD, containing a whole host of extras tailored to the very specific tastes of the series’ fanbase.
The disc, called Beyond Final Fantasy, will contain the following bits and bobs:
The original theatrical trailer for Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.
A history of Final Fantasy, from FFV thru IX.
Two FFX trailers.
Kingdom Hearts Tokyo Game Show 2001 preview.
Kingdom Hearts E3 2002 Preview.
Interviews with the development team and voice actors.
Storyboard section, featuring original character design, original background design and concept art.
Promo video of the theme from FFX, ‘Suteki da ne’ by J-Pop favourite Rikki.
In related news, Final Fantasy XI seems to be shaping up nicely. Now that the beta-testing is complete and the online infra-structure is in place, Square has revealed that each playable character will come equipped with a wealth of costumes to enable your character to stand out from the crowd.
Square also mentioned that in a Pokemon-inspired move, some monsters will only be able to be used at certain times of the day. If you want to catch some of the rarer creatures that inhabit the FFXI world, such as the Phantom, you will have to hang around the Zoromuku Plain at night, and so on…
