Apparently, if you were to explore all of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, completing all additional content (as well as the main story), it could take you up to 80 hours. That's a lot of hours. The main content of the title should take you around 20 hours to complete, with (according to the lead game designer), 50-60 hours extra if you decide to tackle all extra content. Wow.
Jean-Sebastien Decant recently spoke to OPM in an interview about
Black Flag, here's what he had to say:
“I wouldn’t be able to give you any numbers, but what I can tell you is we have three big cities, compared to the other games, there’s three huge cities and then fifteen unique locations – like continents – throughout the world, and then lots of [islands where] you can find buildings, stuff like that. The size of the map is like fifteen, twenty minutes, if you were just to sail without stopping, so that’s huge.
He continued “We really tried to increase the feeling of adventure. At the same time it has to be easy to use so we added a number of teleports, in fact every [objective] you do becomes a teleport. So as you soon as you win somewhere, you can send people there.”
Now that's all well and good, but 80 hours is a very bold claim - what do you guys think?
