David Cage's latest 'auteur' driven game for the PS3 - Beyond: Two Souls - has been met with sighs and shoulder shrugs in some circles, with anger elsewhere and with bemusement elsewhere still. But Cage himself is moving on as he looks to the future and PS4 games.
He's talking about his next game, which is unnamed but, "It's very, very exciting; something different from Beyond and Heavy Rain,... (it's) building on the same grounds but in a very, very different way."
He told GameInformer, "People should expect to be surprised again because this is really what we try to do with each game: not give people what they expect, give them something they want maybe without knowing this is what they want."

maybe it's not 98% QTE's?
I am enjoying Beyond though, probably because failing the QTE's aren't an insta death

^^^ Er... excuse me Mr. Cage but players are not that complicated. We mainly want engaging GAMEPLAY that doesn't insult our intelligence.
You see, BEYOND is a game where a player's input is only there to help move a story forward. And where the story is suppose to be the main source of everything of value within the game. Leaving such gamers to wonder about what happened to the gameplay.
Give us fun, engaging gameplay, Mr. Cage. Remember, you're a videogame maker. Not a film-maker.
