Super Mario 3D World is a happening thing. It's happening on November 29th and it'll be happening on the Wii U in the UK. That came out at the Nintendo Direct narrowcast today. You can see it all below.

I found that really good. a bit painfully cringey at times especially when the president of Nintendo set a high score on the karaoke! but honestly i enjoyed watching that as it made me think Nintendo cares!
