Oh no, you'll have to download a patch first.Now, I suppose if you were planning to play online multiplayer, that shouldn't be an issue considering you'll be connected to the internet - it's still quite inconvenient though eh?
The first patch will unlock the Friendly Match Lobby, Ranking Matches and the Master League Online, but you'll have to wait a "few weeks after launch" (according to Konami) for an 11 vs 11 multiplayer mode as well as improved matchmaking support, roster updates, some new faces for players and a number of general cosmetic improvements.
