Virtua Fighter for GameCube?
Sega CEO Tetsu Kayama comments that the company might just release a Virtua Fighter game for Nintendo GameCube.
Though the subject was only brushed upon in the interview with Famitsu, Kayama made some interesting comments as to the possible content of such a game.
“We could create Virtua Fighter for GameCube and it would look very nice,” Kayama said, “though I think that if such a game were to be made, it’s likely that we would make a new Virtua Fighter Kids.”
In case you didn’t now, Virtua Fighter Kids was a super-deformed, maxi-head version of Virtua Fighter 2, originally released for Sega Saturn. It was well-thought of by the VF hardcore, as it kept the same game engine and combo-structure as the original.
