Nintendo has confirmed that a new type of evolution will feature in Pokémon X and Y when they launch in October.
Mega Evolution allows certain Pokémon to transform in battle, giving them increased stats and a new appearance.
Featured in the trailer below are Mega Mewtwo, Mega Lucario, Mega Blaziken and new Pokémon Dedenne, Horubii, and Meekuru.
