Media Molecule's Studio Director "We Need More Women in Game Design"
LittleBigPlanet didn't spring fully formed from Media Molecule with no collaboration, it needed strong willed gamer-focused people such as Studio director Siobhan Reddy to get it to where it is. So, when she talks, we listen.

And she was talking on the BBC's Women's Hour when she pointed out that, "It's shame that at the moment we have very few creative directors that are women..." she went on:

"We have a lot of women within the industry who run studios and pack a mean punch, the influence of women within the industry is pretty great, but we need to see that on the game design and programming side as well.

"It takes women working on games for games to change. I know there are all sort of discussions about where it is now and where it has been but I'm interested in where it's going... particularly like the type of things we're making at Media Molecule and lots of other studios are making, games which are for both genders and all ages," she concluded.

No, it doesn't take "women working on games for games to change"--it takes people willing to take *risks*, which subsumes women and everything else.

That you so blithely toe this idiotic, PC, line is no surprise whatsoever, Spong, but it is somewhat alarming that you don't understand the most fundamental aspects of business and creativity.
