In a battle of console exclusives the PS3's The Last of Us has once again - for the fourth week running - held onto the #1 spot in the Chart-Track UK all formats video game charts.
In so doing it keeps the Xbox 360 exclusive version of the hugely successful on PC and mobile bricks'n'monsters games, Minecraft off top spot. According to Chart-Track:
"In taking the crown it also becomes the first No1 to hold top spot over four consecutive weeks in 2013 so far (both Bioshock Infinite & Dead Island: Riptide managed three). In a quiet week for new releases Microsoft's Xbox 360 edition of Minecraft (-22%) remains at No2 while FIFA 13 (-24%) climbs a spot to take No3. Nintendo's Animal Crossing: New Leaf (-29%) slips down to No4 while continued price promotions see Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed III (-3%) climb four places to No5.
"Square Enix's Tomb Raider (-20%) is at No6 just ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops II (-18%) at No7. Following their debuts last week both The Sims 3: Island Paradise (-53%) and DeadPool (-54%) slip to No8 and No9 respectively. After dropping out last week Far Cry 3 (-17%) climbs two places to round of the Top 10 at No10. Further down the chart there's a debut for Namco Bandai's fighting RPG Project X Zone new for Nintendo 3DS at No18."
