Nintendo has updated its 3DS StreetPass software, adding four new games to the passer-by service. These games add a few new ways to interact with those you walk past in town, but unlike Quest and Picture Swap these new additions are paid-for.
The games - StreetPass Squad, StreetPass Mansion, StreetPass Battle and StreetPass Garden, are priced at £4.49 each in the UK. Nintendo has stated in the past that it hopes to explore free-to-play services and microtransactions wherever it made sense, and it looks like 3DS StreetPass is going to be the testbed for that.
Alongside the DLC extras, the mode has been given a few other improvements - better system stability, more reliable data transfer and savegame back-up. The update is available to download now for European and UK 3DS owners.
