A new open world Mad Max game from Warner Bros was announced as part of Sony's E3 press conference last night.
Described in an announcement as a "third-person action game... in a savage post-apocalyptic world where cars are the key to survival", the game is set for release on PS4, Xbox One, 360 and PS3 next year.
Both the trailer below and the announcement put a lot of emphasis on the driving and vehicular combat. The game is being developed by Just Cause creator Avalanche Studios, which certainly has a good track record with open world action games.
There's a new film Mad Max film starring Tom Hardy coming out next year, of course. Quite how much the game and film will resemble each other isn't clear.
