Microsoft's E3 press conference has opened with a lengthy teaser trailer for Metal Gear Solid V. The tagline? "Snake is Back!" It looks very impressive, with the protagonist set to explore Afghanistan for his next mission. Yes, it's all open world this time.
Subtitled The Phantom Pain, the game promises deeper stealth, using weather effects to sneak around open locations. Climbing behind horses will allow you to hide in plain sight. A promotional deal with Seiko allows the realistic passage of time too.
Microsoft's Don Mattrick walked on stage with Hideo Kojima, creator or the Metal Gear Solid franchise, following the introduction of the new trailer. They both seemed very happy - and they should be, the game looked absolutely stunning.
