Sony Computer Entertainment will finally be showcasing The Last Guardian at E3 next week, if its lineup on an official exhibitor website is any indication.
The Team ICO title was first announced at E3 2009, and was slated for release in late 2011 soon after. This obviously didn't happen, with studio boss Fumito Ueda announcing that it had delayed the game "to provide more challenging and better quality of content to users and to fulfill First Party Studio's obligations."
But now it seems like we'll finally be getting to see the game in action. According to E3 Insider, an official exhibitor website, Sony has listed The Last Guardian amongst a number of other already-confirmed titles for PS3, PS4 and Vita.
It's worth pointing out that the game is listed as a PlayStation 3 title, though rumours abound that it has changed target platforms to the PS4. If true, Sony could be saving that fact for a surprise announcement at its E3 conference. But don't get your hopes up. Rumours are rumours for a reason.
