And just like that, the floodgates open. Following Sony's event last night, CDProjekt RED has announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be seeing a release on the PlayStation 4.The game was
announced a few weeks ago, and intends to be both a standalone adventure game in its own right and a suitable end to the journey of series protagonist Geralt of Rivia. It was announced for a 2014 release for "all high-end platforms available." Turns out one of those is the PS4.
"The new hardware gives us the opportunity to create something great," said Adam Badowski, head of CD Projekt RED. "We are able to work with the new console from its birth and this allows our in-house REDengine 3 to push the graphical limits of what the PlayStation hardware can display. The console is fresh and has some innovative solutions that we're looking forward to using in our game."
