House eJay Phats and Small Interview
As House eJay, the latest ‘make your own digital music without the need for really expensive equipment’ PC title from eJay looms, the firm-collared Phats and Small give their opinions on the product.

Tell us a little about how you started DJing and what was the first track that you created?

Phats used to be resident at the Zap in Brighton with Carl Cox in 1989. Small was a teenage mobile DJ. The first track we produced together was 'Turn Around'.

Working as a musical duo, how do you both contribute to the end product?

Phats programs and engineers, and we both create a suitable vibe to complement this.

What are your musical ambitions for the future? Can you tell us a little more about your plans for 2002-2003?

Concentrating on developing new artists for our label, Mutant Disc.

Why did you decide to endorse eJay software and how do think it enables up and coming artists?

We decided to endorse eJay as we knew how good past collections had been.

House eJay is due out at some point between late March and Early April and will retail at £19.99.
