Take 2 Interactive has announced that it will be releasing two titles for Nintendo’s GameCube, namely Smuggler’s Run 2 and the acclaimed shooter Serious Sam.
This is important news, in as much as it demonstrates software support for the platform that is blatantly aimed at an older demographic.
If the GameCube is to be regarded as a serious gaming machine rather than a toy, the company needs to engender such support from companies like Take 2 who have a dedicated following of adult gamers.
Interestingly, Grand Theft Auto 3 was not mentioned as a possibility for the platform.
