Are you used to your DualShock controller? Well, get ready to try something else - according to internet reports, Sony is considering ditching the traditional joypad design for its next PlayStation console.CVG is citing a source from a studio working on an unspecified Sony game, who claims that the console manufacturer is toying around with several new design concepts. Some resemble the DualShock in some ways; others do not. Some even contain additional input controls such as touchscreens and biometrics.
Another source has told the website that Sony is looking towards some of the technology used in the PS Vita for inspiration. The report also claims that the next PlayStation will be announced in a matter of weeks, and that the DualShock will not be used as a primary controller (although will still be supported).
