All nominations were put forward by members of the pro-developer community, with the results making up the highlight of the Game Developers Conference, to take place in San Jose, California on March 21 this year.
"Every year, the Game Developers Choice Awards recognise the most innovative individuals and games in the industry," said IGDA board member Warren Spector. "The nominees represent what game developers consider to be the best in game development—the work they most admire and the efforts that are advancing the state of the art."
