The Walking Dead: The Game ended up on more than a few people's Game of the Year 2012 lists (including several mentions on our own), which says a lot about the strength of the team at developer Telltale Games. But, would you like to see them tackle the Half-Life, Star Wars or Halo universes with its unique adventure mechanic? Of course you would!Telltale's CEO and co-founder Dan Connors would also like to have the opportunity to play around with those universes. In an interview with
Red Bull, he brings up the close ties that the studio has with one of the biggest sci-fi license holders. "Coming from LucasArts we always felt we could do a great Star Wars story game," he said.
"We also love the idea of building out a deeper story to a great game franchise, something like
Half Life Stories or
Halo Stories." Valve, Microsoft, LucasArts - make these games happen!
Connors also teased a few details regarding the second season of The Walking Dead: The Game, going so far as to suggest that players might be able to import your saves from the first one. The team, he says, are still working on that. "Right now we are just starting to form the concept for season two. This all remains to be seen but we are definitely figuring out how to carry the saves over."
God speed, gentlemen.
