Hogrocket, the indie mobile games studio born from the ashes of closed developer Bizarre Creations, has closed down. The founders have moved on to other companies after 18 months of working together. The studio was founded by Pete Collier (senior level designer on
The Club), Ben Ward (Bizarre's community manager) and
Geometry Wars creator Stephen Cakebread. Together, they created critically-acclaimed iOS title
Tiny Invaders. But now the three have parted ways.
"Unfortunately Hogrocket is on indefinite hiatus and the three of us have all moved onto new things," Collier said, who now works for social games outfit Playdemic.
"This was due to a combination of factors, ranging from geographical to financial. It's sad but the three of us all learned a lot."
We wish them all the very best of luck.
