Skyrim has its PC 1.8 Beta Update all alive and kicking on Steam. This is rather wonderful news for PC gamers. We've got the details. However, one thing we don't have is the PS3 Dawnguard detail or the PS3 and Xbox 360 1.8 upgrade detail. Not because we're lazy...Nope, it's because no one has these details. For PS3 owners who have
Skyrim this lack of anything new is certainly not ensuring happiness now or, as game marketers would say... going forwards. Now, let's look at what is in this update for PC because, as Bethesda says:
"In addition to Steam, this update will later arrive on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. As we have new details on
Skyrim content development, we’ll let everyone know."
On that issue, someone has posted in the
Bethesda forums some potentially good news:
"Next DLC will be called Dragonborn. It is set in Solstheim. Main locations are Raven Rock, Miraak Temple, Castle Karstaag and Telvanni Tower. You will might be able to ride dragons. Also, new armor types, possibly horse (?) Bomemold, Chitin, Nordic and Stalhrim.
"PS3 DLC will come soon and so will mounted spell casting."
So.... Update 1.8 (all platforms unless specified)
