Sony's release of its Super Slim PS3 (reviewed here by our PlayStation expert) has paid dividends in its homeland of Japan.Microsoft has also seen an upswing in sales of the Xbox 360 as the Japanese games market rose by 106.11% in terms of hardware and software sales.
While the release of
Resident Evil 6 benefits both consoles, Sony's PS3 sales boost from the previous week's 8,935 units to this week's 42,218 units is certainly down to the new Super Slim.
