Nintendo might be launching the Wii U console in just eight weeks' time, but it hasn't forgotten about its 3DS handheld - the company last night announced a selection of new titles, bundle packs and features for the stereoscopic portable that it hopes will drive success over the Christmas period.
Two new colour editions will be made available for the 3DS XL, for those who have yet to jump in on the large-screen revision. A white XL console will be available from November 16th, and will come with Mario Kart 7 pre-installed. Alongside that will be a Limited Edition Pikachu Yellow 3DS XL as well - just in time for Pokémon Black and White 2.
Nintendo also renewed its commitment for offering games digitally, adding Star Fox 64 3D, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land as downloads from the Nintendo eShop.
The company also announced a December 7th launch date for Paper Mario: Sticker Star, a March 2013 release date for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (which allows cross-compatibility between the 3DS and Wii U), a Pullblox sequel and a Level-5 collaboration with SUDA51 titled Liberation Maiden.
