New Super Mario Bros 2 DLC Packs Coming Next Week
Three packs planned in Japan for October 2.
Nintendo has hopped aboard the downloadable content train for its 3DS handheld. As promised, New Super Mario Bros. 2 will be seeing a selection of add-on packs released online, that aims to expand the reaches of the gold-rush themed platformer.
The first of the three packs is called "Gold Mario Go! Go! Pack", and will offer an additional 30,000 coins across three new Coin Rush challenge stages. The second includes three high-score based levels that come complete with online leaderboards, and the third pack is heavily focused on giving you as hard a time as possible.
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced the three DLC packs during a video presentation. They'll all be released on October 2nd and will cost ¥200 a pop. Nintendo has yet to announce a date or price for the West.
