Apple Unveils iPhone 5 - Better for Gaming
Apple got the jump on Nintendo last night as it unveiled its latest portable gadget-that-also-happens-to-make-phone-calls, the iPhone 5. And it used the might of super-publisher Electronic Arts to demonstrate the gaming capabilities of the device.

The iPhone itself is a slimmer, taller beast than any of its predecessors. The biggest changes include the 4-inch Retina screen (which allows for better playback of 16:9 movies and more real estate for apps), LTE technology for faster network speeds and a much more vibrant display. It also comes with the new A6 processor chip, which is twice as fast as the A5.

EA took to the stage during Apple's iPhone 5 reveal to demonstrate the added power and screen size by showcasing Real Racing 3. Because of the new hardware features, EA declared that it has added new gameplay features such as dynamic reflections, rear-view mirror, time shifted multiplayer support and Game Center iOS 6 challenges.

Pre-orders on the new iPhone start tomorrow - September 14.
