Since we brought you news of the UK release of Square’s SNES RPG compilation title, Final Fantasy Anthology, it is believed that a playable demo of the upcoming Final Fantasy X will accompany the title when it arrives in the Spring.
The news comes after Square announced the European release of Final Fantasy X would not happen before summer 2002 due to an unusually long localisation period, brought on by the translations needed for several other European languages.
And while an English version already exists, Square has decided to make the third largest video game market, the UK, wait until the game is ready for the rest of Europe.
The size of the alleged demo is unclear at present, but players should expect around two hours of unadulterated pleasure from the early stages of the game, complete with full English language voice acting from the US release.
More on Anthology and the tenth instalment of Final Fantasy as we get it.
