Sony Planning Public Beta for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale
Sony seems to love the word 'Beta' at the moment - the company has confirmed that it plans to stage a public one for its upcoming brawler, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. And it could be happening within the next month or two.

Developer SuperBot Entertainment intends to roll out the public beta "to the entire PlayStation nation this fall," according to president Chan Park. Early access will be given to PlayStation Plus members, with codes being sent out over the next few weeks.

But, in a stunning case of transparency (especially considering the platform - the official PlayStation Blog), Park also addressed the recent leak which unveiled a tonne of levels, characters and items. "We've enjoyed reading all of the fan reaction and are thrilled that so many of you are excited to learn more our character roster and level mash-ups...

"However we are still in development and the leaked content does not fully represent the final product nor the incredible efforts that were made to make these elements truly spectacular. This will be evident in the coming weeks as this content is officially revealed, beginning with our next character announcement at Gamescom in a couple of weeks."

Let's hope the character announcement isn't someone that's already been leaked, eh? That'd be embarrassing, after all that.
